L’accumulation des expériences, l’accumulation des tentatives, les choix, les renoncements, puis les retournements de situations… Avancer à tâtons, recommencer et réinventer, à plusieurs reprises. Le processus est complexe, l’adaptation y est constante, le contrôle y est important, mais les véritables avancées dans ce processus sont souvent liées à un lâcher prise. L’activité de peintre est un cheminement, et non une réalisation en soi.

Aujourd’hui je travaille sur de petits formats qui sont le fruit de ces tâtonnements, certains étant une nouvelle version de travaux pré-existants, d’autres de nouvelles approches de mon sujet sur l’humanité végétale.

Voici le premier de cette série – il est lié à une envie d’atmosphère chaude, et est inspiré d’une silhouette aperçue dans un clip musical…

The accumulation of experiences, the accumulation of tries, the choices, the renounciations, then the turnarounds… Feeling the way along, picking up again and reinventing, several times… The process is complex, the need for adaptation constant, the overall control important, but the real progresses in this process often happen while letting go. Painting is a movement, not a fulfilment in itself.

At the moment I work on a set of little canvas coming out of these trials and errors, few being a new version of pre-exisitng works, others being new approaches of my subject « Vegetal Humanity ».

This is the first work of this new set – feeling like a warm atmosphere, and inspired by a profile seen in a music video…
